About Us

Our Members

The WA Children’s Funders Alliance (The Alliance) is made up of eight philanthropic organisations committed to working together for better outcomes for children, young people, and families across Western Australia.

Minderoo Foundation

Minderoo Foundation is working to forge a fair future by courageously challenging inequalities and campaigning for meaningful change.  Determined to remove barriers that prevent the creation of a fair future, we focus our efforts on three core systems change levers – Communities, Gender Equality and Natural Ecosystems.  We also respond rapidly to existential threats and urgent challenges through our Impact Missions work.  Through our Communities efforts, we are seeking to ensure that all children, regardlesss of gender, ethnicity, wealth or geography, can reach their full potential.  Our membership in the WA Children’s Funders Alliance reflects this goal.  Big problems require big collaboration, and we hope to leverage our experience in delivering place-based programs, driving systems change and forming strong alliances within the early childhood development sector, to the benefit of all West Australian families and children.

Fremantle Foundation

By working with our donors and supporters, Fremantle Foundation aims to strengthen WA communities with grants for passionate local charities to help meet the current and future needs of those communities. This is done through the generosity of our donors, who have been helping support and strengthen the Fremantle and broader WA community for over 15 years. As a community foundation, the focus of the Fremantle Foundation’s granting is to support WA not-for-profit organisations, big and small, that are making a real difference in our community.

Whilst it has its roots in Fremantle, the Foundation works across the State and has supported projects from as far north as the Kimberley all the way to Esperance in the south.  It is currently focusing on helping to nurture and support community-led giving across WA, working closely with other community foundations.
