The WA Children’s Funders Alliance is proudly convened by the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY)

About ARACY
ARACY convenes the WA Children’s Funders Alliance and is also the national convenor of the Investment Dialogue for Australia’s Children (established in 2023).
The Thriving Queensland Kids Partnership is an initiative of ARACY, established in 2020 to bring people together across Queensland to improve child and youth wellbeing.
ARACY is a national not-for-profit organisation that brings people and knowledge together to improve the lives of children and young people in Australia. It works across sectors and systems to foster collaboration, turn evidence into action, and champion a vision of every child thriving.
Founded in 2002 by former Australian of the Year (and West Australian) Professor Fiona Stanley, ARACY is recognised for its leadership in:
- National collaboration across government, research, community, and business
- Evidence-based policy and program development
- Supporting a wellbeing approach to public policy
ARACY believes that when we work together and listen to young people and communities, we can create the conditions for all children and youth to thrive—now and into the future.

The WA Alliance is also connected to the Investment Dialogue for Australia’s Children (IDAC)

The three WA-based members of the Alliance – Minderoo Foundation, Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, and Fogarty Foundation – are also formal members of the Investment Dialogue for Australia’s Children, a national partnership between philanthropy and the Australian Government.
What Is the Investment Dialogue?

The Investment Dialogue brings together:
- Government’s reach and ability to drive system-level reform
- Philanthropy’s independence, innovation, and flexibility
- The wisdom and leadership of communities
Together, they aim to tackle complex, long-term challenges facing children and families – challenges that neither government nor philanthropy could solve alone.
This partnership is built on shared values and a Working Together Agreement, which commits all members to collaborative decision-making, strong relationships with community, and a focus on real, measurable outcomes.
How the WA Alliance supports the Investment Dialogue for Australia’s Children
The WA Children’s Funders Alliance strongly supports the vision, principles and priorities of the Investment Dialogue, especially its work in Western Australia. Our members’ efforts align closely with the Dialogue’s focus on improving the wellbeing of children, young people, and families.
At the same time, we recognise the unique context of WA. That’s why the Alliance also supports collaborative work beyond the national priorities – ensuring local needs, ideas, and partnerships continue to shape our shared future.
